Programmatic Focus
The Maverick Lloyd Foundation, like most non-profits this past year, has suffered a major loss of its financial assets and has taken the opportunity to hone our focus.

In November 2008, the board of the Maverick Lloyd Foundation decided to limit its focus to two areas: Death Penalty Reform and Environmental Stewardship and Leadership in Vermont.

In the area of Death Penalty Reform, we are funding state-specific advocacy and public education campaigns that are focused on repeal of the death penalty. Our priority is to fund organizations that are strategic, proactive, collaborative and judicious with their time and resources.

In the area of Environmental Stewardship and Leadership in Vermont, the Foundation is embarking on a new multi-stakeholder initiative using a systems methodology to create economic and environmental sustainability in the state. Our funding priorities will be determined at the end of this process.

More information about the multi-stakeholder systems analysis and our work on death penalty reform will be available here over the coming months. Please check back for periodic updates.

Discrimination Policy
The Foundation does not discriminate, nor will it support organizations that discriminate on the basis of age, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, political affiliation, and/or religious beliefs.
